"It's a step in the right direction" were the words that flowed from the mouth of Aadil Nithoo (owner of Ameriplus) as he stood on his Canton Michigan rooftop streaming with seventy-eight 240 watt solar modules during his interview with Darrell Clem of the Observer.
The Canton facility is another to experience the power of the sun's energy under United States Solar & Wind's SolarXchange Program which required no upfront money for the installation of the system. Instead, Mr. Nithoo's will pay only a portion of his former electric bill through monthly SolaX payments.
"It was the right thing to do and the right time to do it...Issues like climate change and foreign oil dependence are critical concerns for our country. Yet they are such global issues that people often feel helpless in dealing with them. We wanted to show that something positive could be done locally," said Nithoo.
